State University. While in school, I started working as a bank teller, quickly climbing through
the ranks to the sales force.
After 6 years in banking and divesting 2 offices, I made a change and started a floral events and
landscaping company. This is when I met my partner, Richard. We enjoyed Columbus, but fell in love with Fort
Lauderdale while on vacation and all that it had to offer us. Ready for a new challenge, Rich left corporate
America to invest in real estate and I moved back into the world of banking! After a successful period at
BankUnited, our team won Branch of the year including our Manager Brenda Hartley! In 2006, Rich and
I took an extended vacation and opened a floral business in Charlotte, North Carolina. But we missed Fort
Lauderdale, and moved back after 3 years and I reclaimed my position at BankUnited. The BankUnited team
